ABOUT US

The original parent chapter was founded in July 1970 by Lillian Poltere, Eleanor Bevege, and Helen & Bill Hawkins.

In January 2015 a newly revitalized chapter began. We believe that women’s rights are human rights. We continue the fight for equality and the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, safe reproductive access for all women, ending sexual discrimination, promoting diversity, and marriage equality, and educating the end of racism and violence against women.

We are inclusive of men, transgender women, and all that feel a woman's right is equal to that of all others. We welcome you to join us at a chapter meeting as a guest, to see if our group of dynamic women and men are a fit for you.

There are many ways you can serve your community of women in San Diego. Consider joining a committee, or attending one of our social activities, all are designed to be engaging, and inclusive, and always, activating.
